1. About These Terms
These terms set out the basis on which Pendulax provides watch repair and related services from our bench at 56 Jalan Gasing, 46000 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. They apply when you bring a timepiece to us, submit an enquiry through our website, or engage us for any of the services listed on this site.
Please take a moment to read these terms before leaving a watch with us or confirming a service request. If you have questions, our team is glad to go through anything you are uncertain about before work begins.
By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version posted here reflects the current terms in effect.
2. Services We Provide
Pendulax offers the following repair and maintenance services for timepieces:
- Battery and Seal Service — battery replacement, gasket review, and a basic resistance check for quartz pieces. The team notes the condition of the case-back threads and crown, and provides a brief written summary. (RM 510)
- Bracelet Re-Sizing and Refinishing — in-shop adjustment and refinishing of metal bracelets, including link removal or addition, end-link alignment, and light surface finishing. (RM 660)
- Long-Bench Mechanical Overhaul — a thorough overhaul programme covering disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, gasket replacement, regulation, and reassembly with full photographic documentation. (RM 4,450)
Quoted prices are the base service fee. Where a repair requires additional parts, we will inform you of the cost before proceeding, and you may choose to continue or pause at that point.
3. Accepting a Service Request
A service arrangement begins when we confirm in writing — by email, message, or written receipt — that we have accepted your piece for work. Submitting an online enquiry or leaving a watch at the shop does not by itself constitute a binding agreement until we have assessed the piece and confirmed the scope of work.
For the Long-Bench Mechanical Overhaul, we will share a written assessment of the movement's condition before beginning any disassembly. You may withdraw the piece at this stage without charge.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of the bench service fee for the work described. They do not include the cost of replacement parts unless explicitly stated.
- Payment is due on collection of the completed piece.
- If additional parts are needed, we will share the cost in advance and wait for your confirmation before sourcing.
- We accept cash and common electronic transfer methods; please confirm accepted payment methods when dropping off your piece.
Pieces left uncollected for more than 60 days after completion, without prior arrangement, may be subject to a storage fee. We will contact you before any such fee is applied.
5. Turnaround and Timelines
We will give you an estimated completion timeframe when we confirm the service. These estimates are given in good faith and reflect normal bench conditions, but they are not binding commitments.
Delays may occur where:
- Parts need to be sourced from suppliers with longer lead times
- Inspection reveals additional work that requires your approval before proceeding
- External circumstances outside our control affect supply or operations
We will keep you informed if there is a material change to the expected completion date.
6. Care of Your Piece
We handle all timepieces with care and document their condition on intake. We take appropriate precautions throughout the bench process to avoid damage beyond the scope of the agreed service.
Where a piece has pre-existing wear, case damage, or fragile components, we will note this on intake and discuss any implications with you before proceeding.
Pendulax holds pieces in its care as a bailee and will take reasonable steps to secure them. However, we are not liable for loss or damage resulting from pre-existing conditions or circumstances outside our control, including events such as fire, flood, or theft where reasonable preventative measures were in place.
7. Workmanship
We stand behind the work we complete. If a fault arises that is directly attributable to the bench work performed, please return the piece within 90 days of collection and we will review it at no charge.
This does not apply to:
- Faults arising from normal wear or misuse after collection
- Damage caused by impact, water ingress beyond the stated resistance of the piece, or modifications made after collection
- Inherent limitations of aged or heavily worn components that were disclosed at intake
For the Long-Bench Mechanical Overhaul, the written service record we provide details the condition noted at each stage and forms the reference for any workmanship queries.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We do not accept liability for loss of use, loss of earnings, or other indirect or consequential losses arising from a delay or fault in any repair work.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

This website is provided for information and enquiry purposes. While we take care to keep it accurate, we do not make any representations about the completeness or currency of the content.
You may not use this website in a manner that disrupts its operation, infringes the rights of others, or violates applicable law. All content on this site, including photographs, descriptions, and design, belongs to Pendulax or its respective owners and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. We will always try to resolve concerns informally first — please reach out to us directly before taking any formal step.
